Closed Cell Backer Rod is designed to repel moisture and is excellent for log home weatherization. In some cases, it will give a little higher insulation value. Closed Cell backer rod provides a firm finished joint because it is a stiff material. Closed Cell backer rod has a wide assortment of sizes 1/4" to 4" in diameter. Closed Cell Backer Rod 1½" through 4" are in 6' lengths, smaller sizes are a continuous length. Works well for caulking jobs that requires a smaller size backer rod, such as 1/4" to 3/8". For some applications it will need to be attached in place, using spray adhesives. Made in the USA. Technical Data | MSDS
