Lifeline Ultra-7 Log & Deck Stain
E-mail this product to a friend

Lifeline Ultra-7 is the most durable low VOC exterior log home and wood stain that Perma-Chink Systems has ever developed. After multiple exposure tests in harsh weather areas across the country (think snow country, the sunny southeast, and extreme mountain locations), Lifeline Ultra-7 stands out as THE top-of-the-line, long-lasting log home wood and deck finish. The secret behind its durability is Lifeline Ultra-7’s state-of-the-art resin that creates a flexible and tough seal on your home’s logs. Perhaps more importantly than the seal’s strength, the resin also ensures that the seal is continuous, providing protection from holes and gaps that might otherwise develop with a lower-quality finish. In addition it has unsurpassed adhesion to wood. It’s this continuity that has proven to be much more resistant to UV degradation, color fading and adhesion loss. And just like all Lifeline finishes, the water-resistant film breathes just like Gore-Tex® to allow trapped moisture to evaporate from your logs. Made in the USA.
To obtain the Limited Warranty:
Review warranty and form, fill out, and send in accordingly. For the 3 Year Warranty: apply one coat of Lifeline Ultra-7 on bare vertical wood (decks, railings, and any other horizontal wood is excluded) followed by one coat of Lifeline Advance topcoat according to directions printed on the pail. Log Wash
must be used as the cleaning agent before application (bleach and water
or any other non Perma-Chink cleaning agent must not be used) if the
logs have grayed from weathering use Wood ReNew instead of Log Wash. If applying to media blasted logs, apply one coat of Prelude Clear Wood Primer before applying Ultra-7. If you choose to apply a borate treatment to the wood, it must be a Perma-Chink product like Shell Guard RTU. For the 5 Year Warranty: The 3-Year warranty can be extended two additional years (5 years total) by cleaning the logs with a Perma-Chink cleaner like Log Wash and applying one additional coat of Lifeline Advance topcoat on the third year. Applying more than one coat at a time of either product will void this warranty. The warranty for Ultra-7 begins on the date it was sold.
For Vertical surfaces – (walls, posts, etc) After Lifeline Ultra-7 has dried, one coat of Lifeline Advance Clear Exterior Topcoat should be applied to add depth and extend the life of the finish.
For Horizontal surfaces – (decks, handrails, etc.) One coat of Lifeline Ultra-7 is all that should be applied to horizontal surfaces. Do Not Apply Lifeline Advance™ To Decks, Handrails and Other Horizontal Surfaces.
Application: Airless sprayer with .015 or .017 tip and high quality, synthetic bristle brush. Back-brushing required. For decks, a paint pad makes application easy. Do Not Use Rollers! Lifeline Ultra-7 is best applied by sprayer followed immediately by back-brushing to work the finish into the wood surface and promote the most even coverage and color. Small sections will help maintaining a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Stop your application lines at natural break points such as corners, window and door edges, butt joints, etc. If a darker color or heavier coat is desired, it is best to apply two thin coats rather than one heavy coat. If wood has been media blasted, the use of Prelude Clear Wood Primer prevents over-absorption of the stain resulting in uneven and darker than expected colors. Do not apply to hot surfaces or in direct sunlight.
