Log Wash is a liquid concentrate for cleaning log and wood surfaces. Log Wash can be used as a maintenance cleaner or to prepare the wood surface for a new coat of stain or topcoat.Cleaning Bare Wood For preparing the surface of bare wood for a new coat of stain, Log Wash removes dirt, grime, pollen, and surface mold and mildew without harming the wood or the finish. As opposed to bleach solutions, Log Wash does not upset the natural pH balance of the wood, thus preventing wood fiber damage and iron tannate stains. (To treat gray, UV-exposed wood see Wood ReNew.) Log Wash is strongly recommended for use on bare wood surfaces prior to finishing with Lifeline Log Stains. ![]() Maintenance Cleaning Use Log Wash for washing away dust and dirt from interior and exterior finished wood surfaces. Its unique formulation removes dust, dirt, and other contaminates from walls and chinking without harm. Washing your log home once or twice a year with Log Wash will keep your Lifeline finish looking great while helping extend its life. Application Temp: 40 - 90 F. Coverage: One gallon of diluted Log Wash will clean 150-200 sq. ft. of wood surface. Maintenance Cleaning: One cup per gallon of water makes approximately 16 gallons of cleaning solution - approx. 3400 sq. ft. For Wood Surface Preparation: Two cups per gallon of water makes approximately 7 gallons of cleaning solution - approx 1700 sq. ft.
