 ELF
For those of you who don’t need a big, expensive powerhouse portable band saw we decided to introduce a smaller, less expensive powerhouse portable band saw; the Elf. With two of the same 10" wheels we use on Titan, it has an 8.5" effective throat width and 12.5" of effective cut depth. With the blade nested into the vertical frame member it skirts around big timbers unobstructed by the separation of function found in the other hand-held portables. Being balanced where the blade intersects the platen, it exhibits the same effortless control found in the big Titan; and therefore protected under the same U.S. Patent (#6,675,486) Elf features the same top quality running components as Titan, including: dual-spring, lever-action tensioning; 3/4HP TEFC motor; ball bearing guides and drive system; one-piece cover; and laminated platen. The light-weight, hand-built, and all-aluminum frames (somewhat beefier in relation to their size than the mighty Titan) are individually balanced, as are the wheels.
As you can see, Elf lacks an exposed frame member hanging out on the left side so we added a sweet little ergonomical handle there, opposite the motor switch, for safety. It still has two little T-handles on the platen, for close work. The word “sweet” keeps popping up as we play with this saw. “Manageable”, “tight”, and “handy” get used a lot also. You know how some tools just feel right? That’s Elf.

The Titan The Falberg three-wheeled portable band saw, now called “Titan”, has evolved into thefirst choice among timber framers in the Rockies and is catching on world-wide as well because of its balanced ease-of-operation. With a 3/4HP 110/220V TEFC cap.-start motor, ball bearinged and balanced proprietary wheels and guides, easy-off one-piece cover, a most tenacious dualspring lever-action tensioning system, wide-view platen, and 18" D x 18" W throat it is by far the money-makingest tool a contractor could own. It comes standard with a handy little tri-pod stand from which the operator can transfer its 65 lb. weight onto a monumental timber. Once there it becomes virtually weightless as it glides along on its formica-laminated platen with finger-tip precision and control. With a custom reset Falberg blade it cuts incredible scalloped and ogee-ed rafter tails in minutes, as well as blowing the doors off your chain saw in the arch cutting competition.

Corbel King
Just as the Titan is designed to cut big timbers, the Corbel King is designed to perform deep contour, free-hand, and rip cuts in thick timbers too short to realistically clamp down for a portable bandsaw operation. The table’s top is laminated with formica so big chunks of wood can slide freely in any direction. It is ideal for corbels and short arches. It takes less than five minutes to convert from portable to resaw because all the parts are assembled with hand-turned knobs and it all snaps together ready-to-use. Once assembled, the table top serves as both parallel and perpendicular references. You can then create whatever fences, cross-cut bars, and patterns that suit your needs. We also sell a very slick *Modular Fence* System for precision resawing large pieces (up to 16") and a cross-cut attachment for squaring ends. The Corbel King consists basically of four parts: the Titan, the table, tabletop, and an interface bracket. If you wanted to, you could still pick the whole thing up and walk out the door with it. That’s a very handy thing. If you enjoy cutting 8" slabs of hardwood into veneer you’re gonna love cutting 16" slabs of veneer. Corbel King does everything the other re-saws do, but twice as big. Does that open any new design possibilities for you? At that depth of cut you’ll definitely want to use our more aggressive blades; but hey, SIXTEEN INCHES!
