Screw Jacks

Post Screw Jacks aid in the compensation of settling log walls. It has a threaded rod mounted to a steel plate with a nut acting as the height adjuster, with another steel plate on top of the nut. The bottom plate of the screw jack is screwed to the floor and the top plate is screwed to the bottom of the vertical log post. The threaded rod will pass through a hole in the center of the upper plate as shown and into a pre-drilled recess in the log. Now updated to a stronger, thicker design. Made in the USA

Always consult with an engineer for the right jack. A structural engineer should determine what is needed for a project, or use Nortek Levelers, which have been tested/rated.

Screw Jack Size Rod Dia. Plate Size & Thickness
1" x 5" 1" 4" x 4" − 3/16" Thick
1" x 12" 1" 4" x 6" − 1/4" Thick
1¼" x 12" 1¼" 4" x 6" − 1/4" Thick
1½" x 12" 1½" 4" x 6" − 1/4" Thick

Note: It takes years for the logs to completely settle, which means that it will take some time for the jack to be lowered to a point where it will not be seen by someone in the room.
