ProLuxe 1 Primary Coat RE (previously known as Cetol® 1 RE) is a premium translucent exterior wood basecoat finish for 23 Top Coat RE (Cetol 23 Plus). Normally used as the first coat for the three-coat system. May also be used on its own as a 2-coat system for outdoor wood furniture and fences. Made in the USA.

| Coverage: | Smooth or Hardwood: 250-350 sq. ft. per gal. Rough & Weathered Wood: 200-300 sq. ft. per gal. |
| Method: | A natural bristle brush is the preferred method. If applied by roller or airless sprayer, back-brush immediately to ensure penetration and to avoid an uneven finish. See Technical Data for more details. |
| Surface Prep: | All wood surfaces must be thoroughly clean, dry and free of dirt, grease, grime, mildew, mill glaze and previous coatings before application. See Technical Data for more details. Do not apply in direct sunlight. Avoid painting late in the day when dew and condensation are likely to form, or if rain, snow or temperatures below 40°F are expected within 48 hours. |
| Drying Time: | Dry time @ 77ºF; 50% relative humidity. To Touch: 12 hours To Recoat: 24 hours. |
| Shelf Life/Storage: | 3 years minimum in unopened can. Freeze-thaw Stable. Do Not Store Above 100°F. |
